Will Our Obsession With Yoga Kill Us?

Will our obsession with Yoga kill us?

It’s possible, but it doesn’t have to. Our obsession with Yoga is basically what’s been causing us to feel pain all over.

Most of our times have been spent in practicing Yoga days and nights, without even realize that can be harmful. This is one of the reasons that causes you to feel pains.

You have to remember that not all sports were created equal. It is the same for Yoga. Some Yoga posture can be harmful to high-blood pressure victims while others pose threats to pregnant women. Yes all sorts of Yoga positions help to reduce stress, and this is what I am going to talk about here!

But the benefits of Yoga do not need to stop there. Yoga can increase your flexibility. I am sure you know that Yoga has various positions that act upon different parts of your body joints. It is in fact better than practicing Martial Arts. Why? Because Yoga is a light “sport” though I know that there are some cults out there teaching students to do some extreme Yoga positions. Not forget to mention too that Yoga works on joints that are never really on the ‘radar screen’ let alone exercised.

Proper Yoga positions exercise the different tendons and ligaments of the body too, and they “massage all organs of the body. It is maybe the only form of activity which massages all the internal glands and organs of the body in a thorough manner. This stimulation and massage of the organs in turn benefits us by keeping away disease and providing a forewarning at the first possible instance of a likely onset of disease or disorder. It is said that it can help prevent Prostate cancer.

The beauty about Yoga these days is that it is now possible to practice Yoga at the comfort of your own home?

I am not suggesting that you do some silly positions even like Cobra (Bhujangasana), Bow (Dhanurasana), Plough (Halasana), Shoulder Stand (Sarvangasana), Simple Locust (Salabhasana) etc…

Perform a difficult yoga pose is challenging on its own, and it can kill sometimes if you are not careful.

You can just do some simple and basic Yoga at home. These simple Yoga poses are like lotus (Sukhasana), Mountain Pose (Tadasana), Leg Clasp (Padahastasana) and so on…

Now I leave it to you to investigate all other postures like Balance Posture (Natarajasana), Back Stretch (Paschimottanasana), Simple chest Expansion(Ardha Chakrasana), Simple Triangle (Trikasana), Simple Spinal Twist (Ardha Matsyendrasdana), Backward Bend (Supta Vajrasana), Knee and thigh Stretch (Bhadasana), Simple Fish (Matsya), Deep Relaxation (Savasana) etc.

Note though that some postures may have the word “simple” in it, but they are not necessary that simple!

You got to remember that you are dealing with Yoga here.

By doing Yoga in the right ways, you will be able to stretch the muscles and joints gently. Yoga also ensures the optimum blood supply to various parts of the body which in turns give complete detoxification on every nook and cranny. In addition, it provides nourishment your body cells. This leads to benefits such as delayed ageing, energy and a remarkable zest for life, that is what is called ageless body and timeless mind! You can also generate excellent toning of the muscles to reenergize the flaccid and weak muscle in order to repeatedly shed excess flab and flaccidity. Hence you look youthful!

Because of all these benefits, you do not suffer from stress. That is how Yoga helps to reduce your stress or people like to call it Yoga for stress relief!

Even.so many benefits brought by Yoga, how do you do it? Let’s start with getting yourself a good audio book. Something that you can practice at home with some warm-up exercises. Audio course are good as it give you the opportunities to listen to it while you are traveling on the public transport. By doing so you can focus on your calmed mind and forget everybody else on the public transport and even not paying attention to some annoying things that may happen!

See what Yoga does is to harmonize the mind with the body and this results in less stress but calmer mind to stay focus! It is now an open secret especially so among the Yogis community that the will of the mind has enabled people to achieve extraordinary physical feats, which proves beyond doubt the mind and body connection.

How often do we find that we are unable to perform our activities properly and in a satisfying manner because we are so stressed out? Do you know that stress in the number one killer affecting all parts of our physical, endocrinal and emotional systems can be corrected through the wonderful yoga practice of meditations?

In conclusions, Yoga brings a lot of benefits. The only way to reap those benefits is to do it moderately and consistently. Everything done in an excessive way is harmful!
